Akos rescue act

01.10.08

Queens Park Rangers boss Iain Dowie reckons Akos Buzsaky will soon be firing on all cylinders again.

The Hungarian came off the bench last night to help salvage a point after Blackpool had threatened a shock victory at Loftus Road.

The former Plymouth man fired a free-kick on to the crossbar and Dexter Blackstock was on hand to head home an equaliser in the 1-1 draw, which had seen Blackpool's Gary Taylor-Fletcher fire in a wonder-goal.

Buzsaky had been rested after starting the previous two games because Dowie felt he was not yet fully recovered from an ankle problem.

Dowie, whose side have dropped to eighth in the table, said: "Akos is a job in progress in terms of his fitness, but he is a talented footballer."

Rowan Vine could be out for another two months after suffering a setback on his comeback from a broken leg.
