Stuart Manley has rescue plan
17 Oct 2008Stuart Manley was hoping to salvage his golf season with another top-class performance in the Portugal Masters.
Manley went into the second round as leader after an opening seven-under-par 65 at Vilamoura. But the 29-year-old Welshman has missed the halfway cut 20 times and is 174th on the money list.
He has to climb into the top 115 to avoid losing his Tour card. "It's a good time to find form," said Manley.
Zach Johnson, winner of the Texas Open last weekend, carded a 10-under 62 to share the lead with fellow American Marc Turnesa at the Las Vegas Open in Nevada.
