Buzzing: Akos Buzsacky is in peak form

Akos Buzsaky's talking Dowie's language

Ben Hunt, Evening Standard
21 Oct 2008

Akos Buzsaky has only spent five months playing under Iain Dowie but the Hungarian is already sounding like his manager.

The midfielder scored the winner in Saturday's 2-1 win against Nottingham Forest to bring an end to Queens Park Rangers' recent dip in form.

And Buzsaky, 26, insists the side are now showing strong evidence of "bounce-back ability", the phrase famously coined by Dowie when he was Crystal Palace boss.

Buzsaky said: "I don't think we have to talk about pressure here because it is a long season. You can have good games and bad ones. The important thing is good teams can bounce back.

"Maybe the club is different from last season, but the players are still the same.

"We just have to get on with it and make sure we play as well as we did at the end of last season.

"If we can play well, then we'll win games and if we do that then we will end up at the top of the table."

QPR travel to Swansea tonight as they bid to re-establish themselves among the early-season promotion contenders. But, despite the raised expectations which have accompanied the arrival of mega-rich owners Flavio Briatore and Bernie Ecclestone, assistant manager Tim Flowers has called for patience from the club's fans.

Flowers said: "I can't understand the anxiety that goes with this place. We now sit seventh in the division. Someone misses a great pass by an inch and they get booed. And you think 'am I in the right place here?'

"There is an expectation now with the amount of money combined within the ownership. It also lifts expectations of opponents and we have become a scalp now."
