Jose Mourinho today launched an amazing attack on Didier Drogba by labelling the Chelsea striker a “diver”.

The Inter Milan manager defended Drogba to the hilt during his four years in charge at Stamford Bridge, but has now turned on the 30-year-old by claiming he is one of the worst offenders.

Mourinho also attacked his fellow Portuguese, Cristiano Ronaldo, for going too ground too easily, along with Liverpool striker Fernando Torres and Arsenal forward Robin van Persie.

“I am no longer Chelsea coach, and I do not have to defend them any more, but I think it is correct if I say Drogba is a diver,” said Mourinho. “Drogba, Ronaldo, Torres and Van Persie are the divers. Who dives more? Who has won more penalties in recent years? But English football is the one that criticises the divers the most.”

Mourinho's remarks are likely to shock Drogba, especially as the Ivorian has had nothing but praise for the Portuguese since his Chelsea reign ended in September last year.

Although against diving, Mourinho gets angry if his players stay on their feet when fouled.
Speaking to www.feelfootball.com the manager added: “I hate diving, but I'm not happy if a player is kicked by somebody in the box and he tries to remain standing.

“It's very, very rare a referee gives a decision if the player doesn't go down so I tell players not to be naive, but to be fair.”
