Injuries are a sore point for Bromby

28 Oct 2008

Leigh Bromby is frustrated by Watford's injury problems.

Bromby has played in all but one of the club's matches this term, yet his partner in defence has been changed five times.

Captain Jay DeMerit is one of the most notable absentees owing to a hamstring injury, which again threatens to rule him out of tonight's match against Preston.

Bromby said: "We have had a few injuries in important positions and that hasn't helped us.

"Continuity brings results and we have been a little unlucky with injuries but hopefully they can get fit and we can make a charge up this League.

"The injuries I have had have been minor ones and hopefully we can get everyone back fit and that is what we need really."

I agree with Bromby's comments, but would suggest we let go weak players such as Jobi McAnuff, who is always injured & even when he plays gives so little.
