Joe Calzaghe must quit, says Ricky Hatton
10 Nov 2008Ricky Hatton today urged Joe Calzaghe to stop boxing.
Calzaghe, 36, remains unbeaten in 46 professional fights after his points victory over Roy Jones Jr at at Madison Square Gardens.
There is speculation the Welshman could fight IBO and IBF light heavyweight champion Chad Dawson in Cardiff but former light-welterweight world champion Hatton said: "He should retire. There's nothing more Joe Calzaghe can do.
"There's always a new contender coming through. They're going on about Joe fighting Dawson and I think that's a load of rubbish.
"Joe beat Bernard Hopkins and now he's beaten Roy Jones. You can't get a better way to bow out, really."
