Fraizer Campbell says Tottenham have developed an air of invincibility after scoring twice to help them seal a place in the Carling Cup quarter-finals at the expense of Liverpool.

Campbell, on loan from Manchester United, was given his first start since Harry Redknapp took over and repaid his manager's faith in him in style as Spurs secured a 4-2 win.

Campbell also created the first of two goals for strike partner Roman Pavlyuchenko as the pair justified Redknapp's decision to rest Darren Bent.

Spurs have now won five and drawn one of Redknapp's six games in charge.

Campbell said: "Once you have won one game, you believe in yourself and we go out there and feel like we are invincible sometimes.

"We are beating teams quite comfortably. The new manager has put confidence into all the players. Every player has got the confidence in themselves and the belief that we are better than where we are in the League (16th). It is going really well."

Despite Campbell's fine display, Bent is almost certain to return to the team for Saturday's game at Fulham but he said: "I have given the boss something to think about.

"Hopefully now I have scored and the team are moving up the table, I can get a few more appearances. When you get your chance you have to try to take it."

Three goals in seven minutes before half-time laid the platform for Spurs to reach the last eight.

Pavlyuchenko scored the first before Campbell added the next two. Pavlyuchenko scored the fourth early in the second half, shortly after Damien Plessis had struck for Liverpool. Sami Hyypia scored the visitors' second.

Spurs goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes was carried off after taking a boot in the face from Philipp Degen but the injury is not serious and he could play on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the club have released initial plans for their new stadium, including a proposal to use the ground for a season while it is partially completed.

The Northumberland Development Project, which will have a consultation process with local residents before planning permission is granted, would also require the removal of two listed buildings.
