Good pedigree: Sanchez Cesar made 108 appearances for Real Zaragoza

Harry's Gomes dilemma

Harry Redknapp faces a big decision ahead of Sunday's home game against Blackburn over who he will pick to play in goal for Tottenham.

Heurelho Gomes, who was brought to the club for £8million by previous boss Juande Ramos, was fault again in the 2-1 defeat at Fulham - which leaves on-loan 37-year-old Sanchez Cesar waiting in the wings.

Sanchez has a good pedigree, having made 108 appearances for Real Zaragoza and has been capped by Spain.

But he has played just 25 minutes for Spurs, replacing the injured Gomes during last week's 4-2 win over Liverpool in the Carling Cup. That might have to change after Spurs' first defeat since Redknapp's arrival, which put them back into the bottom three. Although Fulham deserved their win, the first goal was due to yet another Gomes blunder.

Jonathan Woodgate's back header from Simon Davies' left-wing cross was misdirected, but it should have been claimed easily by Gomes. Instead, the 27-year-old allowed the ball to slip through his fingers and into the net.

Redknapp said: "We have to keep believing in him because that's it, he is our goalkeeper. I've told him to keep his chin up. The goalkeeping coach [Hans Leitert] has to work with him."

But Fulham were impressive. Andrew Johnson scored the second, sweeping home from inside the box after the Spurs defence had failed to deal with Paul Konchesky's corner.

You forgot to mention Malbranque. If we only had Robinson, Chimbonda, Malbranque, and Defoe, it would be a very different season. Thanks Ramos, you idiot! As for the other two, I can't even bring myself to mention their names...

This keeper is truly shocking, only thing is I dont like the look of our number 2 either! Now Robinson is playing well & has been recalled into the England squad. If only we still had Robinson, Chimbonda, Keane, Berbatov & Defoe! Imagine what Harry could have done with them!
