Carlisle may protest as it goes black at Grays

Grays Athletic were left in the dark after their floodlights failed again during their FA Cup first-round replay with Carlisle.

The Blue Square Premier club were leading through Sam Sloma's 19th-minute goal when the lights in one corner of the Bradbourne End went out.

Last week, Grays had to postpone their Setanta Shield match against Chelmsford also because of floodlight problems.

Carlisle are now considering lodging an official complaint with the Football Association.

The League One club's chief executive, David Allen, said: "We're very disappointed. It is very unfair on the club.

"They were blaming the water in the Thames rising and the damp getting into the electrics. They should be doing better."

Dagenham and Redbridge beat Hereford 2-1. Barnet, however, crashed out of the competition, going down 3-2 to Rochdale in injury-time. Adam Le Fondre scored a hat-trick to cancel out strikes from John O'Flynn and Albert Adomah.
