Desperate to leave Chelsea: Didier Drogba

Inter Milan deny interest in Didier Drogba

Didier Drogba could be heading for an embarrassing snub after Inter Milan insisted they had no interest in signing him.

The striker is desperate to leave Chelsea after admitting the last six months have been the worst of his career.

He was spotted meeting with Inter's general manager, Marco Branca, in a Fulham restaurant on Monday night, as well as Jose Mourinho's agent, Jorge Mendes.

The Ivory Coast international paid the price for his actions as he was dropped to the bench against Bordeaux last night.

Inter president Massimo Moratti is adamant he knew nothing of the meeting and claims any interest in a deal was only from Drogba's side.

He said: "I believe the desire is more the player's than anything else. We don't need any strikers."

Inter already have four strikers in their squad in Adriano, Hernan Crespo, Julio Cruz and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Meanwhile, Drogba says the reason he wants to leave Chelsea is because he is fed up of being criticised all the time.

The 30-year-old believes he got all the blame for Chelsea's defeat in the Champions League Final in May, when he was sent off before the penalty shoot-out.

He said: "Too many bad things have been said about me. It's not my fault. I'm a football player and a public person; to be criticised okay - but sometimes we need to be fair."

I think chelsea is a big team and Drogba should understand that critics would always try to distract him from performing.i cannot really comment on the meeting with the Inter Milan officials but he should concentrate on his game and take Chelsea to a successful season. Also let us support the big boos,Scolari for him to put the team in other.Up blues

Why should this be interpreted as a snub to Drogba? Did Drogba announce he wanted to sign for Inter? The story came hatched by the media. If Drogba and Morinho were close, wouldn't they exchange telephone numbers? Why would a face to face meeting with Morinho's agent be necessary? The media assumes everyone is stupid? Now that they have dealt with Gallas, they are after Drogba.
