Hangeland is happy to stay with Fulham
3 Dec 2008Fulham's in-form Norwegian defender Brede Hangeland says he will spurn any interest from Arsenal or Tottenham in the New Year because he wants to see out his contract with the club.
Manager Roy Hodgson worked with the 6ft 5in centre-half at Viking FK and made him one of his first signings when he took over at Craven Cottage.
Hangeland has since been made captain of the Norway national team and played a big part as the Fulham defence kept clean sheets in successive Premier League draws away to Liverpool and Villa.
However, Hangeland claims he is happy to stay at Craven Cottage.
He said: "I have got a contract for two years and I can see myself staying.
"It's a great club and I will be happy if and when we avoid relegation."
