Prospects: Mark Randall enjoyed a spell on loan at Burnley last season

Young Arsenal stars in demand

04.12.08

Arsenal are today bracing themselves for a raft of loan bids for the club's youngsters after their Carling Cup exit.

Burnley boss Owen Coyle, who masterminded Tuesday's 2-0 quarter-final victory over the Gunners, is eyeing the opportunity to bring some of Arsene Wenger's brightest prospects to Turf Moor.

The Clarets took 19-year-old Mark Randall for a successful spell last season and Coyle is considering a repeat move.

He said: "We would look at it. There are one or two things that would have to come to fruition and one of those would be finance."

While Aaron Ramsey, Carlos Vela, Gavin Hoyte and Nicklas Bendtner have made strides in the first team, Fran Merida, Randall, Jay Simpson and Kieron Gibbs face spells in the reserves and youth teams.

Arsenal young players should be given a chance to replace injured players. Wenger has no faith in them regardless of what he says because when their chance comes Wenger always plays his favourite players out of position instead of giving a chance to the young ones .When Wenger plays players out of position he is taking a bigger risk than when if he plays the young players.
