Romo makes peace as he floors Giants

15 Dec 2008

Quarterback Tony Romo put a row with team-mate Terrell Owens behind him to throw two touchdown passes as the Dallas Cowboys beat the New York Giants 20-8.

Receiver Owens claimed Romo and tight-end Jason Witten had created plays without him. Romo tried to play down the rift and said: "It's just part of playing football. We have a lot of highly competitive individuals on this football team who want to win."

This was New York's second consecutive defeat and their coach Tom Coughlin said: "The offence played hard and didn't get anything done. I'm concerned about that."

NFL results: Cincinnati 20 Washington 13, New York Jets 31 Buffalo 27, St Louis 20 Seattle 23, Atlanta 13 Tampa Bay 10, Jacksonville 20 Green Bay 16, Baltimore Ravens 9 Pittsburgh 13, Indianapolis 31 Detroit 21, Arizona Cardinals 14 Minnesota 35, Oakland Raiders 26 New England 49, Carolina 30 Denver 10, Kansas City 21 San Diego 22, Dallas 20 New York Giants 8, Houston 13 Tennessee 12, Miami 14 San Francisco 9
