Cech frustrated by Bridge form

Petr Cech admitted today that Chelsea's players are at a loss as to why they cannot win at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have won only three of their nine matches at what used to be a fortress in west London under Jose Mourinho and Avram Grant.

Arsenal and Liverpool have both won at the Bridge and Manchester United, Tottenham and Newcastle have all held Chelsea to draws - to leave the Blues with a worse home record than Stoke City.

The goalkeeper, whose late save prevented Carlton Cole scoring the winner for West Ham, said: "It is disappointing because we have already had two chances to go top.

"We are not able to win at home at the moment. We will try to work it out and now the important Christmas period is coming. We know we have two home games and I hope we are going to get it right.

"It's hard to explain because you can see the effort and the way we try to break the opponents down. The early goal is key. We have been doing that away from home and that has made the games slightly easier."
