Martin Ling threatened to read the riot act to Sean Thornton after he was sent off in Leyton Orient's 1-0 defeat by Colchester.
Steven Gillespie scored the decisive goal from the spot after Tamika Mkandawire had handled.
The visitors were reduced to 10 men when Thornton was shown a second yellow card eight minutes from time.
Manager Ling said: "The first booking is not what we are about - getting booked for descent. So he will get fined for that."
Millwall were denied their ninth home win of the season as they were held 1-1 by Yeovil.
