Unsettled Tevez set to learn fate

Carlos Tevez will be given a clear indication whether he has an Old Trafford future when Manchester United face Derby in tonight's Carling Cup semi-final first leg.

The striker has infuriated United boss Sir Alex Ferguson following his admission he would relish the chance to join Real Madrid.

Ferguson is expected to respond by dumping the forward from the line-up for the visit to Pride Park and replace him with teenager Danny Welbeck.

Tevez has grown frustrated at United's failure to open talks about a permanent £32million move at the end of his two-year loan stay.

And the Argentine's advisor, Kia Joorabchian, has admitted that the player is uncertain whether he will remain with the Premier league champions.

He said: "I don't know if Carlitos will go. It's difficult to say. Anything can happen.

"Madrid want him and have shown concrete interest. They're not the only club. There are many."

The South American has been a regular starter during United's Carling Cup campaign and delivered a four-goal display against Blackburn in last month's quarter-final.
