Wanted man: Manchester City seem determined to capture Craig Bellamy

West Ham reject a third City offer for Bellamy

Manchester City remain determined to land West Ham striker Craig Bellamy in the January transfer window despite having a third bid rejected by the Upton Park club.

City raised their offer to around £10million last night but it is believed the Hammers are only willing to do any deals if the sum for the Welsh international goes above £12m.

City remain hopeful that Kaka can still be prised away from AC Milan even though the player would prefer to stay in Italy.

However, their interest in the Brazilian won't stop the Eastlands club pursuing Bellamy.

West Ham's Portuguese midfield player Luis Boa Morte, meanwhile, is still mulling over a £1.5 million move to Hull, who set up an FA Cup fourth round tie at home to Millwall after beating Newcastle 1-0 at St James' Park last night.

The two clubs have agreed a fee but it is understood that Boa Morte's preference is to stay at Upton Park and fight for his first- team place.
