Back of the net: Emmanuel Adebayor has scored 11 goals in 23 games for Arsenal this season

Wenger still ruing Arsenal's travel travails

Arsene Wenger today warned Arsenal's Premier League hopes will be dashed unless they improve their results away from home.

The Gunners face Hull at the KC Stadium tomorrow having dropped 15 points on the road already this season.

Although the Tigers are in free-fall, with just one win from 14 games, Arsenal have similar problems away from Emirates Stadium, with a solitary victory in seven matches across all competitions dating back to October.

Wenger admits that record has to improve, starting against a side who embarrassed the north Londoners by taking the points in the reverse fixture last September.

"Our season will be defined by our away games, certainly, because we go to Liverpool, we go to Manchester United and we have an important game tomorrow. But I am confident we look solid and have a team who can make results away from home.

"We want to continue our progress, but it is not about revenge against Hull at all. We feel we are on a good run.

"Any team can drop down the League. The difference between the teams is very small and if you have a little drop in form you can quickly lose games." Arsenal's cause has not been helped by an absence of the free-flowing football that has been their hallmark in recent seasons.

They have not scored three goals in a League game since October's 4-4 draw with Tottenham, since which time striker Emmanuel Adebayor (left) has netted just twice in eight games.

"He has not had the same form," added Wenger, who could have Alex Song available tomorrow after a thigh problem.

"At the moment, he is working very hard to come back to good form and is on a good way."

Adebayor is vital in my opinion!
even more so when we get some wing play back with theo and rosicky(or replacement)
agree need more strength(and height)in defence and bit more steel and energy in midfield-i believe yaya would be ideal but think bullard could do a job in Flamsters position

In the summer we need to take up AC Milans offer for Adeyabaor, especially if it is in the region of £25mill. Gallas to go to for £3mill and Traore for £3mill gives Wenger a nice little figure for summer buys! Replace Adeyabaor with Dzeok from Wolfsburg, a tall strong striker in the same mould as Adey and Bentdner. RVP & Eduardo should be the first team strikers! With the rest of the cash, a top center back and a defensive midfielder ..Westermann(Shalkle) Inler(Udinese). Bring back Senderos to bulk up the squad and pair him with Djourou for the future. Djourou, Senderos & Inler playing togther for Arsenal and the Swiss national team bolds well. Add the likes of Ramsey, Wilshere & Vela all in their 2nd seasons and Arsenal have a very impressive squad!!! Toure, Upson, Westermann, Djourou, Senderos. Sagna, Clichy, Gibbs, Eboue. Cesc, Inler, Denilson, Diaby, Ramsey, Nasri, Waclott, Arshavin, Wilshere, Bischoff. RVP, Eduardo, Dzeok, Vela. The longterm furture doesn't look too bad either...Nortdviet, Coquelin, Lansbury, Frimpong, Fran, Barazite, Simpson.
