Top Gunner: Emmanuel Adebayor scored Arsenal's opener against Hull

Wenger plays down fears of Milan move for strike duo

Arsene Wenger is ready to resist any transfer window bids from AC Milan for Emmanuel Adebayor and Robin van Persie should the Italian giants complete the £108m sale of Kaka to Manchester City this week.

If Milan cash-in on the Brazilian striker then they will need a replacement for Kaka, with Adebayor in particular believed to be top of their wanted list.

Speaking after Adebayor opened the scoring and Van Persie set up goals for Samir Nasri and Nicklas Bendtner in his side's 3-1 win over Hull, the Arsenal boss was asked if he feared the strikers would be chased by the Italians. "No, I'm not worried about that at all," replied the Arsenal boss, who instead focused on his side's chances of catching up with Manchester United in the title race. He said: "Of course United will drop points. They won 1-0 against Wigan and 1-0 against Bolton in the last minute so that indicates they will drop points. Nobody is just flying at the moment which is good because it gives hope to everybody. We don't talk about the title, we just talk about the next game and focus on that."

It may be one reason Wenger picks Eboue is that he is generally fit and available on a reliable basis, unlike the the majority of midfielders at the green sward of the Emir - never known such an incessant pattern of injury and absence among players !

Wenger needs to bring in the new comers to emirates, and the sooner he does this the better, If man u.lose a game that would mean that he has to win games to keep his dream alive which include playing in the championer league come next reason.

"Until he will find him for a club" ?
Eboue has played in only two of AFC's five PL defeats this season - A good right back, and an improving right half - the sheep are however not friendly - Baah !

I fear that no club will be interested in Eboue. Why Arsene keeps continuing to pick him is mystifying- I am counting the days till Theo is back!

well, Wenger might be right. But, if he wants to finish in the top four he should sell Eboue. Otherwise let him rot in the reserve until he will find for him a club.
