Great eight for the St Bede's football boys

St Bede's in Sussex have been awarded the Evening Standard 1st XI Team of the Month award for December, following an undefeated eight-game run.

They win special training shirts provided by the Nike Bootroom in Oxford Street.

Following a comfortable 5-0 win over Ardingly College, St Bede's saw off the John Madejski Academy 3-2 in the fourth round of the English Schools' FA Cup.

More comfortable victories came against Alleyn's (5-1), Ardingly College again (4-0), King Edward's, Witley (7-0), Hampton (4-0) and Sackville (8-0).

would just like to say that training with this group of boys for the last four months has been an absolute pleasure and that i wish them all the best of luck for the future having just got into the last 32 secoundary schools last saturday. with a 2-0 win over reading college. Keep living the dream boys it can nly get better!
