Hornet's nest: Jobi McAnuff joined Watford from Crystal Palace

I am staying, says McAnuff

26 Jan 2009

Jobi McAnuff has promised Watford fans he is not ready to leave the club following his inspired display in their 4-3 FA Cup win against Crystal Palace.

The Hornets are trying to cut their wage bill but McAnuff turned down a loan move to Charlton last week.

The winger then sunk former employers Crystal Palace by setting up all four goals and said: "I had a decision to make and I'm more than happy to be here. I didn't sign a three- year contract for nothing."

James - I agree with Robbie Wattie & Mcenough. One decent game all season is'nt sufficient to be paid an absurd £12,000 per week for a weak player. Its funny how the only team to want McAnuff were Charlton who are on the verge of relegation. No one else has come in for him & if you look at his record he only lasts a couple of seasons at each club he has played for, before he is moved on.

McAnuff was excellent against Palace and it was no coincidence that he was playing in his correct position down the right. I don't see the point in the previous 2 comments. McAnuff hasn't played to his potential this season but is not the only one. Keep it up Jobi!!

Jobi McAnuff is the laziest, arrogant, most overpaid player in the history of Watford football Club. He only comes to life when we tried to offload him to doomed Charlton!

One decent game this season & that after we tried to offload him to Charlton! Time to go we have all had McEnough of McAnuff!
