No room: Mike Catt would play Toby Flood at stand-off rather than Danny Cipriani

Catt: Don't pick Danny

Mike Catt has criticised Danny Cipriani's contribution to England's autumn campaign and told Martin Johnson not to pick the London Wasps fly-half for the Six Nations.

Cipriani, 21, endured a difficult international comeback last November following a rapid return from a badly broken ankle.

He was replaced by Leicester stand-off Toby Flood for the final autumn Test, against New Zealand, and has struggled to find his best form since. World Cup winner Catt says Cipriani (above) should not start against Italy in 10 days' time. "I wouldn't go with Cipriani," added the London Irish player coach. "What has he done at Wasps? He's made one try and made one break, well done.

"Does he warrant an international start? I wouldn't have thought so. You need a 10 on top of his game and that is probably Toby Flood."

At last a voice of common sense in the wilderness. Having spent a fortune last Autumn going to the 4 games at Twickenham I was dumbfounded when Danny was constantly picked after such poor performances. Please lets go in to the 6 nations using the in form players
