Potent partnership: Harry Redknapp believes that Jermain Defoe and Robbie Keane can play together

Harry solves puzzle

Harry Redknapp claims he will succeed where Martin Jol and Juande Ramos have failed by turning Jermain Defoe and Robbie Keane into an effective attacking partnership for Tottenham.

When Defoe returns from a foot injury in 10 weeks, Spurs boss Redknapp will have to work out how to accommodate his £32million strikers.

Jol and Ramos believed Defoe and Keane were too similar to play together and it was a lack of first-team chances that saw Defoe quit Spurs to join Portsmouth. Keane is likely to start alongside Roman Pavlyuchenko against Arsenal on Sunday following his £16m return to Spurs from Liverpool and Redknapp said: "I don't see a problem. Robbie and Jermain can play together. They are good players and good players can always play together."

Such is Redknapp's admiration for Keane that he has handed him the captaincy, meaning Ledley King - who is likely to miss the clash with the Gunners with a hamstring problem - steps down after four years leading the team.

It's back to the future for Spurs.
Nearly in freefall until Daniel saw the light and Harry brought calm and direction back to the club.
Keano will score regularly and prove Rafa wrong big time. The tightest Premiership in years will be slowly climbed and safety will break out in N17.
Look out Arsenal our boys are looking to give you a real good hiding!!

Great news all around, Sad that ledley will have to fade away as players with such loyalty don't exsist much these days. Kardinal (woolich stairwell dweller)hasn't got a clue as usual. Spurs Won't go down, we may finish 17th but we won't go down. Just look how competetive the league is this season, pull 3 wins together and it's not even a topic of conversation. Keane's leadership on and off the field will be a huge boost to those slackers who tick me off weekly as I am sure the do 'arry'.
Tim Sherwodd said it best when he said the reason the wanted to make a play for Bellamy, not becuase of his football skills but because he is an outstanding 'jerk' and hates slackers, COYS.

If anyone's actually noticed that this season our defence has tightened up a hell of a lot thanks to Dawson, Woodgate especially.
But we haven't been winning as we clearly didn't score enough but now with Pavlyuchenko, Keane, Defoe and Bent hopefully we'll be able to finish the season on a high.

I think Harry should play a 4-2-4 with all the strikers up front!

Kardinal who and how much do they have to PAY the championship?

It is unlikely that both of them will remain at the club to pay in the Championship next year, so impending relegation should solve the problem for him.

Yes that's nice to see some positivity and enthusiasm!something we have been laking for a while.
Come on you spurs.
Lets give them our support as genuine tottenham fans and see if we can turn this depressing season so far in to a brighter one and hopefully build on it for next season.

Sad to say it but this could be the last of our leader Ledley, it seems his injuries are too much. You have got to give him credit for trying, the fella must have been in some serious pain for some time now. Give the man a testimonal.
