I was unaware of Olympic lifetime ban, says Chambers
09.02.09
Dwain Chambers claimed today he did not realise being caught as a drugs cheat would result in a lifetime ban from the Olympic Games.
The disgraced British sprinter tested positive for the banned steroid THG in 2003 and served a two-year suspension before returning to the track.
British Olympic Association regulations mean the 30-yearold can never compete in the Games again but he claims he did not appreciate that risk when he was taking THG. "I was very unaware of that," he said.

AH, bless! He didn't realise that being caught cheating would brand him a cheat? I must admit I didn't think it was a hard concept to grasp.

Chambers has been treated differently to others in the UK team. Why is it always Chambers who is scapegoated?
