TIGER WOODS will end an eight-month absence from golf at the Accenture Match Play World Championship.
The world No1 has been out of action since winning the US Open after having reconstructive surgery on the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee the following week.
However, the 33-year-old has chosen a tough tournament to return in as victory at Dove Mountain in Arizona would involve six rounds in five days. He will begin the defence of the title he won last year against world No64, Australian Brendan Jones.
