Ryan's cup boost

26 Feb 2009

Hull midfielder Ryan France believes a scruffy FA Cup win tonight could reignite the club's season.

Monday's late defeat by Tottenham was another blow for Hull, who have won just one of their last 17 Premier League games.

With that in mind, tonight's fifth-round replay against Sheffield United at the KC Stadium could be regarded as a hindrance.

But France said: "I am sure one win will put a lot of confidence back into the lads. However we get that win, whether we play really badly and score a goal in the 89th or 90th minute, we just need to get that win to take a bit of pressure off."
