Main man: Shane Williams is back in the Wales side after missing the match against England

Gatland hopes Williams can hurt France

27 Feb 2009

Warren Gatland is looking to Shane Williams to exploit an injury-hit French side in the first Six Nations match played on a Friday evening.

The world player of the year lines up for Wales in Paris having recovered from an ankle problem which forced him to miss the win over England.

"A fit Shane Williams is a player any coach would want in their side and so it was a natural decision for him to come in for Mark Jones, who did a good job for us against England," said coach Gatland.

"France are always going to be tough, especially at home, and this is a must-win game if they're to keep their title hopes alive."

The hosts have made five changes from the side which started the win over Scotland.
