Relief for Deng after he is given the okay

3 Mar 2009

Great Britain basketball star Luol Deng could be back in action tonight after overcoming an injury scare.

It was thought the Chicago Bulls forward had suffered a stress fracture when he was playing against Houston on Saturday.

That could have ruled him out for the rest of the season but an MRI has shown that Deng has only a bruised right shin and he could play against the Charlotte Bobcats in North Carolina tonight.

Deng, 23, led Britain to their first European Championship Finals last summer.
