Heavy duty: Tony Clubb will again play in the pack

Clubb asked to wing it in the forwards again

Harlequins winger Tony Clubb is likely to keep his place in the forward pack for tomorrow's trip to Salford due to the club's mounting injury problems.

Jason Golden (calf) and Chad Robinson (knee) are both doubtful after suffering problems during Saturday's narrow defeat against Wigan. Luke Williamson is definitely out with a hamstring injury of Quins' third Super League clash of the season while Gareth Haggerty has also been struggling with a knee problem.

Gravesend-born Clubb, 21, usually plays wing or centre but coach Brian McDermott used him as a makeshift forward in the defeat against Wigan and has decided to extend the experiment.

Salford have lost their last two league fixtures, including a 52-16 flogging at Castleford on Saturday night. The Reds were 28-0 behind after just 25 minutes but Quins hooker Chad Randall insists the Londoners cannot afford to take lightly the prospect of facing the newly promoted outfit.

Randall said: "If we're going to compete this year and go for titles like we want to, then consistency is the key.

"Most of the boys have been playing really well and there are lots of encouraging signs, but it's always a close game when we play up at Salford."
