Ferdinand boost gives United the upper hand

Manchester United are close to full strength for their Champions League clash with Inter Milan after Rio Ferdinand came through training.

The England c entre-back picked up an ankle injury in last weekend's FA Cup win at Fulham but he has been passed fit to face Jose Mourinho's side at Old Trafford tomorrow night.

United are also boosted by the availability of John O'Shea, who has overcome a heel problem and is likely to start at right-back.

United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said: "They've both trained for the first time today and we're pleased about that.

"It was an important time after the injuries on Saturday but they're both fit and they'll play."

With the tie finely-poised after a goalless draw in the San Siro, Sir Alex is calling for a repeat of United's performance against Barcelona last season.

Following a stalemate in the Nou Camp, United beat Barca 1-0 at Old Trafford on their way to winning last season's tournament.

He said: "With a 0-0 draw you're never confident simply because an away goal can be a setback to you.

"That was the situation when we played Barcelona but what is required is concentration and focus in our game and we managed to get through on those two factors."

Ferguson claims he is not troubled by his record against Mourinho, whom he has beaten only once in 13 attempts and lost to when Porto knocked United out of the Champions League in 2004.

He said: "I don't have any nightmares. Since then we've had an upward trend.

"That was a time of rebuilding and now we have a fantastic squad which we're proud of. You move on in football and that's exactly what we've done."

Please please No John Oshea the worst player MU ever had.Allow the kid Fabio to show his skill. If Paul Scholes in the selection please partner him with Carrick
who have the pace to defend and control the midfield.Pak is much prefered than Nani due to his pace and skills.
