Diomansy Kamara has told his Fulham team-mates to stop dreaming about playing in Europe next season and instead concentrate on securing Premier League survival.

Fulham's first away win of the campaign, 3-1 at Bolton on Saturday, lifted the visitors to ninth in the table and within reach of the seventh place that might earn a UEFA Cup spot.

But with only 10 points separating West Ham in seventh and Stoke in 18th, Kamara says his side cannot take their safety for granted. The striker, who came off the bench to score his first goal since suffering a serious cruciate ligament injury last June, said: "At the moment we must make sure we are safe. We cannot afford to think about anything else.

"The Bolton game was massive for us after losing against Hull and Blackburn. It was our first away win but you have to remember our next two games are against Manchester United and Liverpool. If we had gone into those games after three defeats it might have been bad for us."

Kamara's 88th-minute strike at Bolton, hit low and hard on the angle past Jussi Jaaskelainen after being fed by Clint Dempsey, was a sweet moment for the 28-year-old.

Kamara said: "I was so happy to score because it has not been easy coming back and getting fit from such an injury.

"But I worked hard, and the Fulham physios have been so good to me. Now I'm just enjoying being out there again."
