Rhodes blow for Brentford

Brentford will check on striker Jordan Rhodes today after he was injured in their 1-0 defeat to Chesterfield.

Rhodes, on loan from Ipswich, has scored seven goals for the Bees in 13 appearances but hobbled off in the 51st minute.

Sam Wood also picked up a knock, leaving boss Andy Scott frustrated.

He said: "There are two significant injuries as well as a defeat. It has not been a good night.

"Every team lose games, we have bounced back before and we will do it again. The players gave me everything.

"Maybe there were a few tired minds and legs and that has led to bad errors - but it's to be expected."

Martin Gritton's second-half strike was enough to end Brentford's nine-match unbeaten run.
