DeGale vows to stop jeers just like Calzaghe

James DeGale will take inspiration from Joe Calzaghe and Floyd Mayweather jnr as he bids to win over his critics in his second professional bout in May.
The middleweight, who took gold at the Beijing Olympics, was jeered by sections of the crowd despite a points win over Vepkhia Tchilaia on his debut this year.
He will fight in Belfast on the 8 or 9 May on the undercard of Martin Rogan's Commonwealth heavyweight title defence and said: "I believe in myself. Joe Calzaghe and Floyd Mayweather got booed in the early part of their careers and look where they are now."
