Cycle boss bids to keep team on track for Olympic glory

25.03.09

British boss Dave Brailsford is hoping the Track Cycling World Championships, which start in Pruszkow, Poland tonight can provide a stepping stone to success at the London 2012 Olympics.

Star Chris Hoy is missing the event because of a hip injury but Brailsford is confident riders like David Daniell and Jason Kenny, a silver medallist behind Hoy in Beijng, will come through.

He said: "There's been some experimentation after Beijing, which is understandable. This team is all about building for the future as well as the now."
