Mark Wright
Outsider: Mark Wright has been frozen out by MK Dons manager Roberto Di Matteo

Warnock's Wright call

Crystal Palace are weighing up a loan bid for out-of-favour MK Dons winger Mark Wright before tomorrow's deadline.

The 27-year-old has been frozen out by Dons manager Roberto Di Matteo after refusing to sign a new contract and will leave the League One club in the summer.

The former Walsall star has been training with Palace this week and boss Neil Warnock is now set to decide whether to sign him until the end of the season.

If he does join, the Eagles would have the option of making the deal permanent as Wright is available on a free transfer.

Warnock is resigned to the prospect of having little or no money to spend during the close season and is already scouring the market for players who are available on Bosman deals.

Watford striker Steve Kabba, another player who will be a free agent at the end of the campaign and who played under Warnock at Sheffield United after coming through the youth ranks at Palace, has also been targeted.
