Alan Hutton has shrugged off concerns over his long-term foot injury by insisting he is ready to start for Scotland against Holland this weekend, writes Dean Jones.

The former Rangers full-back, who moved to White Hart Lane in a £9million switch last year, is ready to hand Spurs a major boost by returning for the final two months of the season.

"If called upon for Scotland, I think I can do a job," he said. "I feel fine, there are no problems, and if selected I'll do my best. I like to think I'm naturally fit anyway so I'm confident I'd do myself justice.

"Holland are one of the best nations in the world and it will be tough for any player to go in and play against them, but I've got so much drive inside me it's untrue.

"It's been stacked up for months having spent so long sitting round the house with a cast on my leg, but now I'm fully mobile again I just want to play as much as I can.

"This season has been an absolute nightmare for me, I just need to play some games now."
