UEFA has charged a Macedonian club over match-fixing allegations relating to a Champions League qualifier five years ago.

The governing body have accused FK Pobeda of "manipulating the outcome of a UEFA match to gain undue advantage for themselves and a third party". The president of FK Pobeda, and a player, have also been charged and UEFA said: "The charges are based on reports from the betting industry on irregular betting patterns."

The charges follow an investigation into the first-round qualifier against FC Pyunik in 2004, which the visiting Armenians won 31, despite having a man sent off just before half-time.

UEFA will hear the case on 17 April when, if found guilty, the club could get a three-year ban from European competition.
