Fears that the rest of England's one-day series in the Caribbean would be wrecked by a West Indies player strike ended today after the hosts' pay row was resolved.

Following three days of talks between the West Indies Cricket Board and the Players' Association, an agreement has been reached over the team's claim that they are owed money from last year's tour of New Zealand.

West Indies made a stand last week when they taped over a sponsor's logo on their kit during the first two clashes of the five-game series and there were fears the team would go on strike for the remaining matches. It was also thought stars such as captain Chris Gayle would refuse to tour England in May if the row had not been resolved.

The players, though, will line up against England at the Kensington Oval tomorrow when the tourists will welcome back Andrew Flintoff after a hip injury.

England are yet to decide who will make way for Flintoff and, although fast bowler Steve Harmison is the most likely candidate, off-spinner Gareth Batty is also an option.

Captain Andrew Strauss said: "There are a few options for us to consider."
