Claude Davis in awe of latest jewel in Crystal Palace crown

Claude Davis believes Crystal Palace's youngsters are some of the brightest prospects in the country after another ready-made starlet rolled off the production line.

Kieron Cadogan took just 12 minutes from coming off the bench to open his account for the Eagles when he calmly rounded Keiren Westwood before slotting home to secure a 1-1 draw at Selhurst Park.

The 18-year-old former academy player has starred for the reserves this season after recovering from breaking his leg during pre-season training.

Defender Davis, on loan at Palace, said: "The youngsters here are very talented. You've got Sean Scannell, Victor Moses and Kieron Cadogan - there are loads of them here.

"A few of us who have not been playing regular football played against the academy on Monday and they beat us. They are among the best the youngsters I've seen in my career."

Cadogan's 72nd-minute strike cancelled out Aron Gunnarsson's first-half opener.

That's because you've spent your "career" at Neil Warnock's level, Claude.
