Frank Lampard
My shout: Frank Lampard says Chelsea must maintain the performance level they showed at Anfield

Glory night gives Chelsea the appetite for a Treble

Frank Lampard has insisted Chelsea could win the Treble this season after thrashing Liverpool 3-1 at Anfield in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final.

Chelsea came from behind with two goals from Branislav Ivanovic and one from Didier Drogba to hand Liverpool their first home defeat for 33 games.

They are now strong favourites to reach the semi-finals but Lampard believes it will also give them a major boost in their attempts to win the title and FA Cup. They trail Manchester United by four points in the Premier League and play Arsenal in the FA Cup semi-finals in nine days.

Lampard said: “Everything is still up for grabs, even though we are behind in the League. This performance just sets the tone for the rest of the season and who knows what can happen in the League and the FA Cup now.

“It's just important we keep to the standard we showed against Liverpool. When people see us play to that level and look at the strength of the squad, we are as good as anybody.

“We are a few points behind Manchester United in the League and all we can do is worry about ourselves and keep winning games.

“We have set high standards and we have to maintain those. It does give us confidence going into the other competitions but we can't relax as there is not long to go in the season.”

Chelsea can afford to lose 2-0 at Stamford Bridge next Tuesday and still go through but Lampard has warned his team-mates against complacency. “It's not out of sight,” he added. “Liverpool are strong and we have to be on our game to make sure we don't slip up.”
