Levelling it up: Emmanuel Adebayor scored a superb equaliser against Villarreal in the first leg

Emmanuel Adebayor nowhere near Thierry Henry, insists Marcos Senna

Marcos Senna has claimed Emmanuel Adebayor has a long way to go before being considered in the same class as Thierry Henry.

Adebayor scored a superb equaliser at El Madrigal last week to give Arsenal a 1-1 draw to take into tomorrow night's Champions League quarter-final second leg.

But the Villarreal captain, whose fine strike had given the Spaniards an early lead, claims he was disappointed with Adebayor's display and believes comparisons with the Gunners legend are premature.

"Adebayor didn't impress me," said Senna, 32, who will be unavailable at Emirates Stadium after picking up a hamstring injury in their 2-0 loss to Malaga at the weekend.

"At my age, and with everything I have seen in football, it is difficult to find a player who impresses me.

"Adebayor is a good player but you cannot say he is a superstar yet. He still has a long way to go before he reaches what Henry did for Arsenal."

Senna added: "Arsenal will feel they have to attack us but we know we are good enough to win."
