Juan Carlos Ferrero sees revival come to a quick end

Just a week after winning his first singles title in five years, Juan Carlos Ferrero suffered an opening round defeat at the Barcelona Open .
The former world No1 from Spain was broken in the opening game and never recovered as he lost 7-5, 7-6 to Russian Igor Kunitsyn.
Although Ferrero won the Casablanca Grand Prix last week he has struggled for form since beating Rafael Nadal in the second round of the Rome Masters last year.
Nadal has since won 21 matches in a row on clay and he will be looking to extend that record in Barcelona tomorrow when he will meet Portugal's Frederico Gil.
