Steve Coppell feels Reading's run of eight away matches without defeat could give them the edge in the play-offs.
Reading all but secured their place in the top six by beating Derby 2-0 at Pride Park thanks to goals from Dave Kitson and Shane Long.
Boss Coppell said: "We've had decent away form and it could well be that it will be the vital factor as we go into the meaningful section of the League."
