Fans injured but driver walks away from horror crash

Eight fans were injured by debris when Carl Edwards's car took off and slammed into the safety fence on the final lap in the Nascar race at the Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama.
Two women were airlifted to hospital but their injuries were not life threatening. Edwards climbed from the wreckage and crossed the finishing line on foot.
