Didier Zokora may leave Spurs

Tom Collomosse

Didier Zakora has dropped a strong hint he could seek to leave Tottenham this summer.

The Ivory Coast international has not started a game for Spurs since he was substituted during the first half of the 2-1 win at Aston Villa on 15 March.

Since then, Jermaine Jenas and Tom Huddlestone have both moved ahead of Zokora in the race to partner Wilson Palacios in central midfield.

Zokora said: "The World Cup is in June 2010 and I can't be sitting on the bench if I want to be in the Ivorian squad. All my career, I have been first choice."

Zokora says: "All my career, I have been first choice."
Why. He hasn't done much in a Spurs shirt and I think he has had a fair crack of the whip at Tottenham, starting in front of Huddleston for 2 seasons, but he has made little impression.
Still he's a nice guy who usually get's on with it so I would wish him well.

Wouldn't be a great loss

It's a tad early for this guy to be wanting out, but good luck to him anyway.

Personally, I don't think he's made much of a mark at the Lane, especially when one considers his massive pre-signing-media-reputation.
