Crystal Palace are ready to open talks with Shaun Derry about extending his stay at Selhurst Park.
The 31-year-old rejoined the Eagles in January of last year and has recently undergone a shoulder operation.
Boss Neil Warnock is keen to kick-start his rebuilding plans and wants to resolve the midfielder's future as quickly as possible.
