Making an exit: Roman Pavlyuchenko looks like he will be leaving Spurs in the Summer

Roman Pavlyuchenko and David Bentley are heading for exit door at Spurs

Roman Pavlyuchenko and David Bentley face the prospect of being sold as part of Harry Redknapp's summer clear-out at Tottenham.

The Spurs manager must off-load players to raise cash for new signings and Bentley has already been told to look for a new club.

Pavlyuchenko's future is also in doubt and his position has become more precarious after angering Redknapp with a tantrum in Saturday's 2-1 win against Manchester City.

The Russian was replaced for the last 15 minutes but chose to ignore Redknapp, who had waited to greet him on the touchline. The Spurs boss then applauded sarcastically in Pavlyuchenko's direction as he stormed off towards the dressing room. “I don't like that,” said Redknapp. “The fans pay their money to watch and when a player runs down the tunnel it's disrespectful.”

As for Bentley, Redknapp added: “David is obviously going to think, Hang on, I'm not in the team even when Aaron Lennon's not fit, and maybe it's time I moved on'. He's a good lad but I've changed how we play a little bit.”

Meanwhile, Jermain Defoe can't wait for next season to kick-start his Spurs career.

The striker's January return to White Hart Lane stalled when he broke his foot but he marked his first home start in four months with the opening goal against City.

Defoe said: “I've worked really hard on getting fit and it's unfortunate the season is over.”

Typical Spurs all round, Bob.

"Bentley and Pavlyuchenko, best players ever, we'll win the league, etc. etc..."

Six months later...

"Let's get rid of Bentley and Pavlyuchenko and get Zidane, Pele, God, they all want to join us, we'll win the league..."

Most. Deluded. Fans. Ever.

Im sure if Pav was angry with his substitution, which he wasn't,then he was unhappy with his performance rather than being subbed!

It's never over until it's over Jermaine; in fact, a brace against Liverpool next weekend will do nicely.

As for Pav and Bentley - Pav is girl's blouse and Bentley hasn't cut the mustard, so it's bye bye.
