Guus Hiddink
No time to rest: Guus Hiddink says he won't be resting too many players for the match at the Stadium of Light

Chelsea won't be taking it easy

Guus Hiddink has reassured Sunderland's relegation rivals that he will not be fielding a weakened Chelsea team at the Stadium of Light on Sunday, writes Simon Johnson.

Sunderland, only two points clear of the relegation zone, need to win their final game to guarantee a place in the Premier League next season and there are fears Hiddink could help them by picking an understrength side.

The match comes six days before Chelsea play Everton in the FA Cup Final and, with Liverpool needing only a draw at home against Tottenham to secure second place, there is little for Hiddink's side to play for.

But with Newcastle (away to Aston Villa) and Hull (home to Manchester United) seeking wins to leapfrog Sunderland, Hiddink has promised not to make many changes because he sees the game as vital to Chelsea's build-up to the Final.

He said: "I don't want to rest a lot of people because they need to maintain their physical shape and also the way we want them to play. If I rest too many people then I don't think it's good preparation for Wembley."
