Blackpool appoint Ian Holloway
21 May 2009Ian Holloway has been named as the new manager of Coca-Cola Championship side Blackpool.
The 46-year-old returns to management almost 12 months to the day after his departure from Leicester and takes over from Tony Parkes, who was in caretaker control following Simon Grayson's departure to Leeds in December before his exit this week.
Holloway has signed a one-year deal with a one-year option and chairman Karl Oyston told the club's official website: "We are delighted to be able to welcome a manager of Ian's calibre to Bloomfield Road.
"He is a very professional and thorough person who ticked all the boxes and who has an excellent track record. He is hungry to take the club forward."
