Going for the win: Jermain Defoe is looking to get three points at Anfield

Jermain Defoe wants a United front for Anfield clash

Jermain Defoe says Tottenham can inflict Liverpool's only home defeat of the season in the Premier League if they recapture the form they showed in the first half of their game at Manchester United last month.

Spurs were beaten 5-2 at Old Trafford after a glut of second half goals from United, yet Harry Redknapp's men had outplayed their hosts during the first 57 minutes of the game, only to be undone by a controversial penalty, which turned the match.

Spurs can still reach the Europa League if they win at Anfield on Sunday and Fulham are defeated by Everton, and Defoe said: "They've been fighting for the title but we have to go there and do what we do best and that's to pass the ball, create chances and hopefully get the three points.

"We showed that at United when we went 2-0 up. Anfield is a great venue, a fantastic stadium and we're up against world-class players. It will be difficult but we have a good side as well and they know that."

Midfielder Tom Huddlestone will miss the match after undergoing surgery on his knee, while winger Aaron Lennon is out with a groin problem.

You seem to be talking about Ar5ena1!? Well they haven't won anything since 2005 so they are just as much as a joke as you lot. How I wish we could win the Best Training Facilities Cup :-)
Jk come on mate, bore us with how you're gonna win the league!

Happy Spur - Whatever must it be like, being a Rottenham fan? You have performed desperately for so many seasons now while your neighbours down the road have won trophies, built the best training facillities in europe and a superb new stadium.

Rob Liverpool, Liverpool:

Yeah, Rob, everything you say, truly a poor season for the Spurs - apart from, that is, the facts you conveniently missed. Spurs did Liverpool TWICE when Harry came in to sort them out. End of, okay with that?

Dream on Defoe, yet another unfullfilled season for Tottenham. A relegation battle, cured by spending millions & finished off by failing to qualify for europe! Oh yes, isnt this Daniel Levy's Tottenham that were going to qualify for the Champions League!

Yeah, give it a go you Spurs! Get in the scousers' faces and let the football world know that with Harry Redknapp in charge everything and anything is possible.
